Invited Talk entitled “Medicine and Art” at the 15th Panhellenic Congress of Dermatological and Venerealogy, by Vasia Hatzi

Honored to be invited as a keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of the “15th Panhellenic Congress of Dermatology and Venereology” that took place in Makedonia Palace, Thessaloniki- Greece from 31.10.19 to 03.11.19.

Through my talk entitled “Medicine and Art”, specific examples of artworks created by selected artists of MEDinART were presented to highlight the mutual beneficial relationship of medicine and art, and to approach the answers to the questions:
How Medicine contributes in Art?
How Art contributes in Medicine?
What is the social role of biomedical-influenced art and what is its impact in the general public, the patients and the physicians?

MEDinARΤ, through its philosophy, the activities and the numerous artists it represents, enhances the social role of both medicine and art, contributes in the improvement of medical practice and Healing and promotes the social impact of bio-medical inspired art at a global level.
