Where Dentistry and Photography collide:

“Dental Portraits” is the art project of the multi-awarded Photographer and Dental Surgeon, George Vardakis.

Focusing on the eyes of his dental patients the photographs of George Vardakis capture in a single shot all the emotions that accompany the patients: agony and fear, expectation and hope, relief and cure.

The photographs are exclusively in black and white using old medium format cameras , and taken only with film.

The first exhibition of “Dental Portraits” will take place in Heraklion, Crete-Greece in the frame of cultural events organized be the Municipality of Heraklion.
