MEDinART at the opening ceremony of the 11th Panhellenic Congress of Ocular Inflammation and Infections”, Thessaloniki-GR (3-5.12.2021).
One of the MEDinARΤ videos was screened tonight at the opening ceremony of the “11th Panhellenic Congress of Ocular Inflammation and Infections” that took place at Makedonia Palace, Thessaloniki-Greece (3-5 December 2021).
The selected video presents 222 artworks from 75 MEDinARΤ artists inspired by aspects of biomedical sciences, and it has been screened in 13 national and international SciArt events and medical conferences around the world.
Unique in its content and character, MEDinART (www.medinart.eu) explores the intersection between medicine and arts and everything that happens in between. Through its philosophy and activities including exhibitions, talks, articles in scientific journals and interviews, MEDinARΤ, explores the mutually beneficial relationship of medicine and art, connects the scientists with the artists and enhances the social role of medicine-influenced art, contributing in the evolution of medical education and practice.
