Brooke obtained a Degree in Applied Science and worked as a Radiographer prior to studying Fashion Design and pattern cutting at London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins. She has a unique technical insight and broad knowledge of human anatomy through her interpretation of x-rays and CT scans; This knowledge informs and directs her textile design, cutting and construction techniques. A visionary in the use of medical images as surface design, Brooke programmes her knitwear from x-rays and CT scans, body-mapping and contouring to achieve striking graphic effects through colour and texture. With several years' experience creating knitwear in Italy, she mixes yarns to great technical effect. Her knitwear combines cashmere, wool, cotton, silk, techno-plastic, metallic and retro-reflective yarns. Brooke's S11 Collection is stocked exclusively at Browns Focus from May 2011.
