“I have always been attracted to the anatomies of humans, animals, biological habitats and chemical interactions. The development of my work employs a drawing process that is highly analytical and systematic. This process is devised to dissect, scrutinize and understand the underlying organization that gives individual objects their scaffold structures, moving cascades, and/or constituent interactions. Further, in studying the structural integrity and function of these substrates allows me to discover a linear dynamic that has a new imaginative configuration. In the end, my creative challenge is to arrive at a meaningful, graphic choreography that uncovers a compelling narrative. If I am successful in this assembly, the viewer grows curious about the metamorphosis before them and becomes an engaged participant.”
