I´m a fan of Asian Manga and mixed the images of neurons and cells with sort of an expressionistic comic style. I grew up in Bavaria with all the lakes and the landscapes, so my paintings are a mental blend of the things I have seen and felt from my youth till present – I create every painting from memory, without a certain template. The abstract figurative works of my science series arise from watching some specific images and paint them free in my studio out of my head.
