BIO
Marta Antoniak (b. 1986 in Zabrze) is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 2011 she received her MA degree at the studio of Professor Andrzej Bednarczyk. In 2017 she defended PhD at the Academy. Author of individual shows, including Baccilus, F.A.I.T., Kraków (2016); Swallowed, COLLECTIVA, Berlin (2015); Polikolor, BWA Sokół, Nowy Sącz (2014). Participated in numerous group shows in Poland and abroad, including KREW-WERK, Fundacja Galerii Foksal, Warszawa (2016), Medicine in Art, MOCAK, Kraków (2016); Artists from Krakow. The Generation 1980–1990, MOCAK, Kraków (2015); Frenezje, Labirynt 2 Gallery, Lublin (2015); Feathers, 33 Gallery, Amsterdam (2013). She received honorary mentions at the 42. Painting Biennial "Bielska Jesień 2015" in Bielsko-Biała, participated in 11. Geppert Competition Uwaga Malarstwo! at the BWA Awangarda in Wrocław and Jeune Création Européenne Biennial – New Talents In European Art Scene in Paris. She lives and works in Krakow.
