Hanif Janmohamed is an artist and designer and holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from Domus Academy, Milan in 1987. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, of Indian extraction, African roots and a western experience, Hanif has a broad cultural perspective and a wide ranging creative practice. His design and artwork have been exhibited at numerous venues including MOCA-LA; the Milan Triennale; the Vitra Museum; the Vancouver Art Gallery; the Art Gallery of Ontario; the National Building Museum and the Corcoran Gallery, among other venues. His artistic practice is centered on Geographies of the Mind and he is currently engaged in an expanding a body of work called Brain Terrains.
